Smarty Muddy Pants

A couple days ago I got real tired of wrestling with Liam to get his diaper changed. So I simply and nicely asked him if he would help me since daddy wasn't there to hold him down. HE COOPERATED! He even held the front of the diaper while I fastened it closed! Maybe I do have a genius on my hands. He has cooperated ever since and listens to me if he gets distracted and wants to crawl away. Incredible! Amazing what can happen when you just ask nicely...

In other news, Liam (and I) had a first this morning... #2 all the way up his back... it creeped within an inch of his neck. I have heard of stories like this and never quite believed them. I guess it IS possible to have that big of a mess (and I had just changed his diaper 30 minutes prior to this accident). Liam has defied the laws of gravity... mud CAN travel uphill...

I am laughing! That is a great name for a club, Tori! I should have named this entry: GROSS POST... for fair warning.

We call those "back climbers" around here. That's when you spare no wipes to get the job done and then rush him to running water in the bathtub.

Oh my, the mental picture you painted. Isn't being a mom great?

Now that is a clean term that I like MUCH better! I just hope only moms read this one... Hey, I gotta journal the menial firsts too, people...

AHH the blowouts. Have you had one up the back but not at all in the diaper yet? Those are the most perplexing!

I hate the Blowouts! I haven't had one in a while, but I bet I just jinxed myself!

Woah! There's a term for what I dubbed "Shit Storm 2006?" I'm impressed. "Mudslide" and "back creeper" definately sounds much less dramatic!

Just be glad you caught it before there was "mud" smeared all over the crib, toys, and aquarium. We threw E's old aquarium away (no saving it) and bought a new one. Now we don't use the new one because it's a distraction to E at bedtime!!! (Good thing my sister-in-law is having a baby soon so we can give her our slightly used, nearly new, mud-free aquarium!)
