He's growin' up...
I took this photo on Saturday morning... he looks like a toddler to me at this angle. He is growing up too fast!
Sunday morning Liam started saying his first consonant sounds, and I quote, "Ba ba ba ba".
I tried to help him turn it into a "Da da" for Father's day, but he wasn't catching on. When Ian woke up and saw what I was trying to do, he started trying to get Liam to say "Ma ma ma"... so since then we have been trying to expand his vocabulary. All we have to do is say "Ba ba" to Liam and he copies us and says "Ba ba" too. It's absolutely adorable that he is starting to mimic us!!! I love his little voice!

I love when they start talking. And they love it too. He looks adorable in the picture.
What a cutie! I agree that he looks older than seven months (and yes, they do seem to grow at an astonishing rate.)
No, my cat is not currently on Catster (it's one of those things I keep intending to do, but never quite get around to doing.)
Thanks for visiting my blog and for leaving comments!
That is so cute that you were trying to get him to say Da Da for Father's Day!! It will be easy to remember when he started doing that soound because of Father's Day. That's cool!
I just love the baby talk! Boo started saying baba a while ago. Sometimes I think he's actually asking me for one, because he'll look at me with the most serious look on his face!
so cute!!!!
Mary, mom to many
He is so cute! Cam is looking more and more like a toddler too. It's so sad!
Oh my gosh! How cute is that? Kenley has started saying "ba ba" too. It makes us laugh because she shifts her jaw and looks an awful lot like Popeye as she does it. Liam is a doll!
Congratulations on the babble! Baby E says "ma ma ma" when she's eating and thinks her food is yummy, and when she's crying. She says, "da da da" for practically everything else!
It figures that Daddy is the one who spends less time with her and she still says his name first and for EVERYTHING.
