A Fun Saturday

We had a really nice Saturday. First, I had a photo session here on the grounds where we live with a super sweet family (whose mom happens to be my roommate from my BYU/UVSC days). While I was taking photos of their growing family, Liam went to our darling neighbors' house to play! Liam just adores Gavin! And I just adore his mom!

After I got done with the session, I went to pick up Liam and ended up taking a few photos of their super affectionate doggies! They crack me up how they fight for attention and lovin'.

Liam and I did some chores around the house and hung out a bit, then later got dressed up for a big event. He was looking forward to Dracula's Dash for Hope all day! He was very determined to win!

I was so proud of Liam running this 1 mile race! He came in 6th place overall and 3rd of the boys. What a man!!!!

After the race we went to his friend Taven's Halloween party and he played hard the entire time! There was a haunted maze in their back yard and he only went through it once. That was enough. Cracks me up when he won't admit he was scared of something. It was a fun night for him and so so so difficult to say good-bye to his friend when it was getting past his bedtime.

Crawdad/Crayfish Catchin'

A Double Daddy/kid date was set up by Ian at the beginning of last week. Dad picked up Liam from Kindergarten and they met up with Malakai and Ilaisa to go up the Reservoir again to get more crawdads. The boys got along great and they had such a fun day out in the sun!

They came back to our apartment to play and we adults chatted for awhile. Malichai took these photos of the kids with his phone. And you know how much I appreciate pictures!

Awesome Weekend

Saturday morning Liam was so good to entertain himself with all his toys while I watched General Conference. I was so surprised and felt very blessed. He even came and sat with me and let me play with his hair while we listened. Such a sweetheart.

We went to a Halloween event at Pottery Barn Kids that afternoon instead of watching the second session of conference since I can watch it later online. We did some coloring, a fashion show, and the a parade around the mall. All the children were very cute. Liam was one scary pirate! ARRRR!

After the event, we went to the Spaghetti Factory for a late lunch and everyone was so impressed with Liam's get up. Later in the day he took off the costume, but kept the face make up and we went to the park. Baffled faces were seen everywhere we went as they looked at those bushy eyebrows, mustache, and goatee. Very fun.

Sunday Liam was GREAT the entire day and let us concentrate on General Conference. We are so fortunate that he entertains himself so well. I was very happy to see him dig out some toys he hasn't touched in quite a few months too! Hello Lincoln Logs, puzzles, games, and what-not toys from every kids' meal he's ever had.

That evening after the last session of General Conference, Ian and Liam went on a drive up the canyon to Strawberry Reservoir to find some kokaknee fish and crawdads. Liam had such a great time and came home in a very agreeable and darling mood. As I lay down to snuggle him to sleep he told me he had missed me. So dang sweet!

This was one relaxed mama ready for Monday to come after a very indoor weekend of spiritual uplift and agreeable-ness with my boy!
