Remember THIS? Well this time it was over a cookie as we were leaving the sitter... and I got scratched on the face. Jaws dropped at day care and it took all my power to get that mad kid into his car seat. Once we got home, Daddy couldn't convince the insanity to end either. Liam came out of the zone after about 45 minutes of pure rage. Combative is just one word of many I could use.
I guess one meltdown a month is alright, right?

Oee went through that. Absolute Rage. Screaming Rage. Usually right around the 30-45 minute mark. Once.. 3 hours..
And then, as Oee found ways to express her frustrations better, they subsided. But, I tell you.. it was Really, Really Rough for a bit. It'll go away. It's probably just another 'phase'. ;)
Poor wee guy. I feel so badly for them when they are in that state. It must be sheer hell. It sure sounds like it to us, anyway.
Ugh, how difficult. I am glad you write about these episodes. I obviously don't know what Raja will be like at 2 and 3, but even at 1, he is so much more aggressive and gets mad in a way Jaya never did and still doesn't. We call him Rage-a a lot.
And yeah, I think once a month isn't too shabby.
Once a month isn't too bad. But now I'm freaking over what is to come with Little Dude. He has mini-rages, already, but they are usually over within 10 minutes.
I wish I knew how to help you. I hope he gets through this stage quickly---and I hope your scratch heals up soon too!
Yeah, you're lucky. One meltdown in a month. I could definitely handle that. I can't tell you how many times mine has lost it over a cookie or some type of snack. I'm definitely looking forward to this phase being OVER. Lol
When my youngest was small, it was MORE than once a month! ;)
Ugh, I really feel for you with that. Cameryn is so much better now that she is 4. It was like a switch was flipped at her birthday so I got my sweet little girl back. Not that we still don't have screaming fits like that anymore, they are just fewer and far between.
It won't last forever, it just feels that way.
