Sunday Evening Mud

And he hasn't stopped asking to play in the mud since Sunday night. (He apparently doesn't understand that was a one time deal. Well, he got another go without water on Monday night when we actually planted the veggie seedlings.)

Update - the whole story: Sunday evening Liam was helping me (fully clothed) to put down newspaper and watering it down so we could plant the garden the next day. The cuffs of his pants started getting wet and muddy... and his shoes of course. So those things came off. Then I ran out of newspaper, so we just started playing in the mud. Not long after that I had his shirt and diaper off. (I won't post nude shots... and the one of him peeing into a puddle is pretty funny.) We don't have a bath tub downstairs, so I had to wash him off in the kitchen sink (which wasn't easy). Later when I put a new diaper on, he still had mud in a couple crevices. The clean up was just a lot work so that is why this was a one time deal. The end.

So fun! But you lack adventure in cleaning him up - where did his pants go? ;-)

Lucky boy! You may have to find another mud spot for him. :) That looks like too much fun!

Thanks for adding to the story, Gina! Oh goodness, no, don't post the "nakey" pics! I just was curious as to how it got to no pants.

Too funny regarding the mud being in various crevices, still!

So glad you both did this, and him peeing in the puddle - priceless!

What could be funner for a little boy? So cute. Tucker anc Charlotte love getting dirty. Wish we could all get together and make some monster messes!

You're in for it now! He'll want to play in the mud all the time.

I agree with Saedi, you look gorgeous!

Utmmommy is right. Playing in the mud is extremely addictive to people under the age of ten. Good luck keeping him out of it!

Gina, you are such a fun mom! I hate messes so sadly I don't let my kids do stuff like that very often. He must have had so much fun. How cute! :)

Is there anything better than dirt and mud for little boys. I always find it funny how they will find any puddle and want to jump in it.

What a great mom you are to let him play in it.

A little dirt (especially the wet variety!) never hurt anyone! But I hear ya' about cleaning it all up! It's a lot easier to be "fun" when you're not the one in charge of the clean up.
