A Fluke

Yep, the whole sleeping 7 hours Friday night and the 5 hours the night before that... yep, a total fluke! So Master Liam can pull it off, but he was just out to set a record and that was about it. It's true! I heard him whisper to Orion the other day (as he was pulling his tail) that he was just testing the waters of sleeping longer. But he decided that he really likes the multiple cuddle sessions in the night instead. GREAT!

Yeah, just when you think they can sleep through the night...

:)

They like to keep us on our toes.

I think Liam and my Feisty have been talking together secretly. Feisty does the same thing. It's a baby conspiracy!

That stinks. I hope your "fluke" happens again. My first one didn't sleep through the night until she was 11 months old. She had a couple of "flukes" and by that time I was exhausted. If she could do it on accident, then she could do it on purpose. At least that was my thought process then.

It takes practice!!

Annabelle does the same thing: two or three steps forward and then one back. We learned a LOT by reading "The No Cry Sleep Solution" by Elizabeth Pantley. I don't know if that's your thing, but it has helped us a ton.

Though, I guess it's all about perspective. At 16 months Annabelle *only* wakes up twice for feedings, and once or twice for comfort from dad. Considering where we've been this is a HUGE achievement for us! Once last week she only nursed once! I know now that this is a forshadowing of something that might be a couple months away...

Hope you enjoyed for those two days. Maybe he'll surprise you and do it again!

Boo did that for a while. He'd do it a couple of nights in a row then go on strike. I hope his strike doesn't last long!

At about 4 months I started letting Kenley cry herself back to sleep. It's hard the first night, but by the second night you feel better knowing that they can get back to sleep without you. And by the third night, she was sleeping 8 hours.

Now I can put her to bed at 8 and she doesn't wake until around 6, and then goes back to sleep until 8 again.
