Saturday fun on a Wednesday

I had the day off of work today!

First thing this morning, Liam and I went to meet a gal named Kate that runs a day care. We both enjoyed visiting with Kate and we may have a promising place for Liam to learn/play in the fall.

When we got back home, Kara and Joslyn were there to pick us up. We went to Color Me Mine as today there was no studio fee. The kids loved painting together! Joslyn picked out a monkey and Liam did another turtle.

On the way home, I turned around to find the cuties holding hands. I hurried and grabbed the camera hoping they wouldn't let go. They kept holding hands like this for awhile. Such sweet sweet friends.

I was so excited about showing Ian the cute photos that I got the camera out, showed them to him and then left it at home when I took Liam to his first dentist appointment. Dang!

Liam did well at the dentist. Okay, he wasn't as cooperative as I thought he might be. He fought the x-ray but we forced him through it and he was rewarded with a new toothbrush. The exam was forced as well, but he was again rewarded... with a balloon animal this time. He chose a snake. I had to laugh... that was an easy task for the tech that made it.

After naps, we met Joslyn and Kara at the pool. We had a great 2 hours of playing. Liam keeps progressing with his water skills. He was actually dog paddling! Swimming like a fish he would tell me. Later in the really shallow water he was floating on his back and kicking his legs. A real swimmer already and he taught himself! Not bad!

Yay for a day off! Sounds like a great one too. Liam's pictures are so cute. He really hams it up doesn't he. That picture of them holding hands is so precious!

What a relief that he survived the first Dentist visit without too much grief. :)

What fun to have a day off in the middle of the week! Looks like a blast too. We need to do color me mine sometime.

I am not looking forward to Kaden's first dentist appt. Or my next appt either. I wish I could fight it just like a little kid. I'm glad that Liam's went pretty well.

Happy Pioneer day!

Gina, he is getting so big. I can't believe he painted pottery too, what an artist he is.

Love the hand holding, little friends are the absolute cutest.

The little tots holding hands is adorable! I'm glad Liam made it through the dentist. :) Our dentist doesn't make balloon animals. How lucky!

O.k. that holding hands picture is so sweet! How fun to have a Wednesday to have fun and play together. It sounds like he is natural in the water! (Maybe not so much of a natural at the dentist, but really, who is?) :)

Sounds like you had a lot of fun! I know I should take Eliza in to the dentist, but haven't felt up to fighting that fight yet! But she did see Jonas and Maddie at their appointments, so I'll probably take her in once the kids start school! I can't believe how big Liam is getting, such a cutie pie I just want to give him big kisses on those cute little cheeks!

I feel about the dentist just like Liam does--not my favorite place to visit ; )

Love the picture of the kids holding hands--too cute.

Color Me Mine sounds like such a great place--and bonus that there was no studio fee!!! (Liam is going to have quite a collection of turtles )

Liam is so cute when he smiles and wrinkles up his little nose! Too cute!

I wish they had a Color Me Mine here. I should look into that.

Oh, look at those two friends. That is so adorable and sweet. I love child friendships - there's just about nothing that makes me happier than to see Sam enjoying other kids and being affectionate like that. I wish that lack of self-consciousness stayed with them longer. Soon it will be "Eeew, GIRLS!"
