So last night we were at the classy dollar store in town and we came across some Biblical action figures. Ian suggested we get David and Goliath for Liam.
Then we saw Jesus.
We bought Jesus for our son.
Today Liam saw the bags we left on the counter from the dollar store last night. He asked Ian to open the Jesus package for him. He found a lingering Nativity piece that didn't get packed up and it happened to be Mary. Being close in size he says, "See Mom, they are alike."
He started carrying them both around the house.
Does this sound sacrilegious?
If so, wait for the next level.
Later in the day I get after Liam for something and he starts with his sassy reply...
"Oh yeah, well I found Jesus Christ!"
I started busting up laughing and looked at Ian to see if he understood the play on words like I did. Ian then mentioned our child sounded like a recently converted sports star at a post game interview.

Epic win! Too funny. Must see pictures of Liam and the Lord.
Josh's grandma is this delightfully nutty woman who has these lawn statues of Mary and Jesus that weren't much smaller than your average two year old. When Alli was about Liam's age, whenever we'd visit grandma she'd drag poor Mary around by the neck the entire time. Good times.
So glad he found Jesus and that he was born again at such a young age. **giggle**
