We Love Uncle Drew

Drew came over to tend Liam so we could go to the Rockapella concert on Saturday. We had such a great time! The show was just amazing and we had no worries leaving Liam.

As you can tell in this photo (taken before we left that evening), Liam was beyond excited to have Drew as a play mate.

Thank you, Uncle Drew, for tending a two year old, boundary testing, spitting maniac who is mainly saved by his cuteness and small stature!

Report: Liam was put in time out 5 times in three hours, but I am sure he probably deserved 10 or more.

Yes, I said it, my child is not perfect. We need to give Drew the most patient uncle award. We are fortunate to have him in our lives... he is such the doting uncle.

That is the happiest look I've ever seen on kid about to be left with a sitter. Uncle Drew must really rock with Liam.

Yeah for great Uncles!!

Laim looks so happy.

...and what are you talking about? He's not perfect? I'm shocked!

Little Dude is currently battling my next-door neighbor on naps. She gets my award for the patient person today.

No child is perfect - it is their quirks and the challenges that they present which make them so delightful and entertaining. (Remind me I said this when Little Dude is pushing my buttons..)

We are very lucky to also have some good male role models (including daddy, of course) in Little Dude's life, and I'm glad you do too!

It makes me smile just looking at it...you kinda have to smile!

We need to set Uncle Drew up with somebody...what a cutie..and if he can handle the toddler, he gets extra bonus points.

Cute cute pic!!
Liam is a spittere too?? We've just started the time out thing with Livie. I'm not sure if she fully "gets it."

Liam looks so grown up in that picture.

It's great to have family around to babysit.

Yay for Uncle Drew! Not just any guy would babysit a 2-year old.. he's a brave one indeed :)

It's nice to leave your kid with someone that you trust...even if your kid is a little booger sometimes!!... Glad you had fun at the concert

Awesome uncle! I wonder how Kaden would be with a sitter at our house. I usually drop him off at my cousins or my VT's and they have other kids to entertain him and get in trouble with him. :) I'm sure Drew gave plenty of babysitters trouble when he was little too- it's just a little payback. :)

It's easy to have patience when you know you're only "on call" for a few hours! LOL!

Yeah, so what's up with the spitting thing? My lil' guy is doing that ALL the time too! Boys! I tell ya'!

Awww! what a sweet photo of them :) Caring for a 2yr old is never an easy feat. Sounds like Uncle Drew did a great job! Hope you had a great time at the concert!

Drew deserves a good woman...what great guy. Tell me, does time-out work with Liam? Sierra doesn't seem to care anymore.

Wow, I haven't checked this blog for a while! Laim looks so grown up! Just remember, I have a daughter the same age, should we ever have opportunity to introduce them...I'm just sayin'.

Also, I meant L-I-A-M, not "Laim"...I'm lame...

Liam definitely loves the camera doesn't he. I love all his pictures. Unlce Drew and Ian look a lot alike. I'm guess they must be brothers.

Our little one finds himself on time out often these days. 2 year olds....gotta love them.
