More Timp info

I should be posting Liam's birthday letter for tomorrow or at least getting it drafted, but I am going to show off some more photos of our hike yesterday. These are the 4 little ones that we packed up and down the mountain. Liam, Cameryn, Penny and Emerald. All about 2 years of age.

We had quite a few adults to help out carrying kiddos, but this hike would be plenty difficult just carrying one's self. We had a 12, 10, 6 and 4 year old with us too. Daisy and Mike even carried Luke who is under 1. Daisy was breastfeeding in the caves and a couple of us were changing diapers in there too! What a wild adventure! Only the Tross family is tough enough to take on this kind of family activity... I am glad I could be a part or it, but I certainly don't recommend taking children under 5 years old. And if you do, don't pay to tour the caves... do about half the hike with the toddlers and then come back down. I think a big incentive for us to keep on going was because we all paid for the tour, but the tour is at the very top of the mountain.

That hike would have killed me, but I'm totally jealous that you got to share that special, fun time with Liam and the Tross's. I wish Sierra and I could have joined you all. She would have whined the whole time, but at least I could've said I did it. I'm proud of you for being so strong, physically and mentally. Love you.

Just in case you were wondering about the pics I took, I'll get them to you soon, but I have no money for batteries for my camera and I can't download my pics. Sorry, being broke sucks.

What fun! You did the hike AND the cave tour? You are amazing!

I'm impressed too! Hiked, toured AND took pictures... just the pictures alone are sometimes exhausting.

I have been thinking about taking Annabelle on a hike near here to a waterfall. You have inspired me! Now I'll have to do it before summer's end for sure.

We were just talking about taking the kids up to the cave. But we can only afford to take like 2 of them... :)
Cute pics!!

I've never been to the caves. Maybe the next time we are in UT I'll drag Terry and the girls up the mountain.

They don't have "real" mountains here in VA you know. There is one cave in VA and it is in the middle of wine country. Sounds more like a gopher hole under a field if it isn't in the mountains!
