I absolutely LOVE when kids have a language explosion! It's proof they DO understand you.

There's no stopping him now! Once it starts, I swear there's several new words a day (even if they don't quite sound "correct")! How fun!!! And the water picts are too cute - my Liam loves the "wa-wa" too!

I love when the start communicating with you with words/signs! So much fun! It's amazing how much they do understand even when they can't express it into words! How's he doing in nursery by the way? Love ya girl!

It's so fun when they start speaking and you can start to understand. It's fun to see them associate certain words or sounds with things. I have a nephew who is the same age as Caleb and they bothed called water gaga. I don't know where they got that word from but I found it interesting that they both used it.

Love his matching hat and shorts and his totally school stance in the bottom pic.

When AJ turned two he had a language explosion. It's like the Lord's gift to parents. Of course, I didn't do signing with him. Wish I had.

Amen to that, Kayelyn... it's certainly a breakthru to have a kid with communication skills all the sudden... a blessing!

what is it about kids and water? they just go hand in hand. i can't wait for it to warm up so that we can get a little pool in the backyard.
what a smart boy! so many words and signs. that has got to be such a rewarding time... when they finally start to talk back to you. it's been a one way conversation for so long that i'm sure it's great to finally get some feedback.
