He takes a dive...

Literally!

After Liam's bath yesterday, I wrapped him in his towel, plopped him in his crib, slathered him with lotion, put on his diaper and all his clothes... the crib is his corral after baths to he can't run off when I am doing all these things, you see.

He was having a grand time prancing back and forth in his crib, so I thought I'd go brush my teeth. I get the teeth brushed and then I hear a huge THUD! Crying ensued. I ran to Liam's room, you know, five feet away from where I was... he was on the floor. He took a nose dive!

I picked him up and he had reopened a rug burn on his forehead from the day before. I could see a goose egg appearing from under the bleeding rug burn. Oh this poor kid! We dropped his crib mattress long ago when he started crawling and standing. Apparently it wasn't low enough.

Ian lowered the bed, it's practically on the floor now, but he's safe. Safe to prance around and also use his crib rail as a ballet bar... if he can reach it with his foot now... not likely.

Poor little guy!! Eli has only come out of his crib once and it was right when he started pulling up. I moved the matress to the lowest level at taht time. Even though it kills my back to get him in and out, I was way too worried he'd really hurt himself! CUTE CUTE picture, btw!

I remember how freaky that is! All kids do it! I hope Charlotte puts it off bit longer.

Poor Liam! Now that he knows it's possible to get out, let's hope he doesn't start TRYING to get it. Taj did... and our lives and our bed was never the same. :(

Stinky little monkey! That's a darling picture---no rug burn or goose egg in sight, though! ;)

I was so tempted to buy a crib tent to keep my escape artists contained, but they are really expensive (especially times two), so we never did. To this day I wish we would have just sucked it up and got the darn things.

Ouch. Poor kid. Sometimes they are so fearless.

Cameryn did that one time at like 2:00 in the morning and I made Mike lower it then and there. It was scary but she was okay. I think she landed on her bottom cause she had no marks or bruises or anything on her. I guess we were lucky. Glad he is okay though.

That is so crazy! Kaden has just started sticking his leg up to climb in his crib. He is still nowhere near able to really climb in it yet though...or at least that's what I think... better have Matt lower it again. :)
