It wasn't a big transition, but they didn't use them round-the-clock either. That's probably not much help.

Is Liam teething? He seemed to drool quite a bit while he was here, and maybe a bit of Tylenol before bed might stretch things out a little longer.Katiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01968046120528525257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23372529.post-1143912406386558932006-04-01T10:26:00.000-07:002006-04-01T10:26:00.000-07:00I think you are definatly doing the right thing Gi...I think you are definatly doing the right thing Gina. I know it sucks to hear them screaming but I did it with Cameryn and after about 2 weeks (if that), she stopped waking up so often. She was like Liam, she was sleeping really well, then the teething started and she would wake up for a comfort feeding. So, me feeling bad for her cause there was nothing else I could do, I would get her out of her bed and bring her in with me to nurse. Then after awhile, I realized that this was ridiculous and my body could not handle her getting up every 2-3 hours anymore. She wasn't a newborn anymore and I knew that she could sleep longer then she was. So I would let her cry herself back to sleep the first time she woke up, then get up the second time. If she woke up again after that, I would let her cry. It really does work, but it's hard. I didn't realize that you still had Liam in your room with you. I had Cameryn in a basinet in our room till about 3 mos. then had to start putting her in her crib cause she was getting too big and she moved around so much. Plus she would wake at every little sound we made, like getting up to go to the bathroom- so annoying. Anyways, good luck with this- it works and it's worth it. I'm going to start doing a blog also soon so I'll let you know. How do you get pictures on your blog?Daisyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14293223555955555790noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23372529.post-1143905346174197682006-04-01T08:29:00.000-07:002006-04-01T08:29:00.000-07:00When I read your earlier posts about having to wak...When I read your earlier posts about having to wake up so much I thought A)Liam must still be in their room B)POOR Gina!! I moved Taj out of our room at about 6 weeks because his squirming drove me crazy. It woke me up all the time. I moved Liv out even earlier because she would barely whine & Sei would hop up trying to fix her a bottle. She usually wasn't hungry- just whining a little. Now that she's in her room- he doesn't hear her at all. But I do.:) I think it's good you moved Liam. Liv is 9 wks old and sleeps 8 hours in a row. She's formula fed though- so I think it takes longer to digest. I'm know Liam will learn to soothe himself eventually. You're doing a good thing in my opinion. As for the paci... I don't know. Alec was my only one hooked on one and I can't really remember. If you toss it out, be prepared for many more sleepless nites. Eventually though he HAS to learn to sleep without it. That doesn't help any I know. Just know we've all been there.Tori :)https://www.blogger.com/profile/14963896000691417017noreply@blogger.com
