Liam under the weather

The poor guy woke up at 2am vomiting this morning. After getting cleaned up, he went back to sleep until almost 7am. I got him toast, water and Monsters vs. Aliens. He fell asleep at some point then didn't wake again until close to 11:30. He still seemed kind of out of it. He had some Cheerios, then seemed to be doing okay.

We left and went on a Sunday drive close to 1pm. At one point Liam was feeling queezy and wasn't sure if he was going to throw up again. We gave him a bag and nothing happened. We drove for awhile and let him get out and play in the immense amount of snow stored up the canyon. He got back in the car and was dozing in and out on the way home. Tonight he seems okay. I hope tomorrow is a better day for him.

Ian snapped this mug shot before our drive today.
Liam was in the middle of coloring and placed that marker
on his ear for the "Handy Manny" effect.

Sleeping Liam

Last night as I was trying to fall asleep I realized I hadn't snapped a photo at all that day. Shame on me for not using my new camera in a 24 hour period! I popped out of bed and ran downstairs to get the camera.

I went into Liam's dark room and shut the door (as to not bother Ian with the flashes). It was pitch black in there, so the few shots I took were lucky to have Liam even in the frame. And to my disappointment, those first two resulted in a daylight look. So I put my hand about a half inch in front of the flash and got this result. Sweet slumber in what looks like a dimly lit room (even though it was pitch black).

Blonde Boys

We went to Saedi's house for a play date this morning. I've been meaning to meet baby Kellan for about 8 weeks now. He's so adorable and mellow. I completely enjoyed snuggling him while I chatted with Saedi and her hubby, Dan.

As for the boys, they played so well the entire time. Look at these four. We always say Liam could be a brother he fits in so well.

Wednesday Night

Wednesday night we came home to Daddy making spaghetti for dinner. Liam insisted on stirring the boiling noodles. I supervised and tried to take a few photos. I told him not to smile and not to laugh and this is the face I got.

Liam and His Artwork

Liam came home from school on Tuesday with a life size outline of himself. He had worked on it at school and brought it home to do the finishing touches. I broke his concentration and snapped this photo. He is such a studly artist!

Liam today

We went for a Sunday drive today so I could get some sample scenery shots with my new camera. Liam was a pretty good sport. Here are a couple of his cute face.

A new camera man in town

So I got my new SLR camera today and as I was unloading it, Liam thought it was all about him... yeah, he tried to pry it right out of my hands and start shooting! Ian quickly redirected him to one of my Canon Powershots to use.

It was so funny how he was bossing us around to pose or not move or whatever demand he felt necessary. As you can guess, I was doing similar things with my big camera. He was so funny going around the house taking photos of EVERYTHING just like his mom, but in more depth... I was laughing a lot as I was going through his whole album of photos that he took around the house. Everything at his level was just priceless! I need to hand the camera to him more often. Such perspective... as well a major reminder that his mother needs to clean the house in a bad way. Some of his "detail" shots are still making me laugh. Here is a sampling of his work minus the photo of my crack, the dirty laundry piles, a nice glimpse into the dusty air return vent, dirty dishes and unmade beds.

Nice work, Liam!

You can see some of my sample photos with the new SLR camera here.

Sledding yesterday

I took Liam sledding yesterday since it was pretty warm outside. We went down together the first few times, then he said he'd be strong enough to lug the sled back up the hill if he went on his own. He was laughing his head off as he went down the hill... each and every time. It was the cutest thing to watch!
